The Pool at Semiramis Hotel

Everyone loves the water. By far beaches and pools are the most popular ways to enjoy one’s self. Some tanning, dipping, eating and drinking is usually the schedule of the day.
It’s the best way to relax or even party.

In this month’s Beaches & Pools we are featuring a pool in Athens, Greece. It’s part of the Semiramis Hotel located in Kifissia. The designer of the hotel is Karim Rashid who loves
using bright colors, rounded objects and shapes and keeps things nice and soft.

This style also continues to the hotel’s wonderful pool. He has created a fun environment here with color wherever it counts so it’s not in your face and loud but gently feeds your soul and lets you indulge in the experience.

You get energized but not tired with this setting and you feel yourself as one of the “in” crowd. It’s a compliment to a city that is ancient but also very modern and trendy at the same time.

The hotel is set up for all its visitors such as people on a business trip or hipsters exploring Athens’ vibrant day and nightlife.

For the hipsters after a long night of hitting the clubs, drinking and dancing to the cities top DJ’s the pool is where you actually get to relax. Some use the pool to relax and take their power naps and some just continue last night party. Either way this place is a work of art. Some Greek iced coffee (frappe) to jumpstart your day or a little hair from the dog to kind of get the day started right, all poolside. You can say this is where everyone gets to start their day in Athens.

The rooms at Semiramis either face the wonderful Kefalari Park or the pool (we suggest a pool view). The 2 floor restaurant and bar is a must and we recommend getting a table near the pool. The menu has imaginative Greek, Mediterranean and international specialties sure to please. When out of the hotel you will find trendy café’s, high-end Boutiques, restaurants and bars. You will also find Lycabettus Hill nearby, the Olympic Stadium, the high-end suburb of Kolonaki, Syntagma Square, Royal Palace and so much more. For those on business you’re 10 minutes away from Marousi Business Center, half hour from the center of Athens and 20 minutes from the airport.
There are many great hotels in Athens but this one truly is the hotel of the future.
